Young Blues travel to Southend United U19

Lowestoft Town U19's will travel down to Southend tomorrow for their second National Youth Alliance fixture of the season. The Trawlerboys have had a fresh influx of students progress onto the Access Sport full-time education programme meaning competition for places this season is high. The majority of the squad played in the 2-0 away defeat to AFC Sudbury in the FA Youth Cup a couple of weeks ago. Since then, the group have been back in and getting prepared for league action.
THE OPPONENTS
This is Southend United's first season competing in the National Youth Alliance league due to the club holding a professional category four academy status. Similar to the Young Trawlerboys, have only played one fixture in the league so far, beating West Ham United U19's 6-3. They have since played in the National Cup (Lowestoft receiving a bye), beating Dagenham & Redbridge U19 away 3-0. Danger man Sisanda Maguranyanga has started the season in impressive form, having five goals to his name in the two appearances so far.

The game will be played at the Garons Park 4g, Eastern Avenue, Southend On Sea, Essex, SS2 4FA and is scheduled to kick off at 02:30pm. Lowestoft Town U19's will then return to home league action next Wednesday when Aveley U19's visit the Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium.
