Young Blues begin season at home to West Ham United

Lowestoft Town U19's are ready to kick off their Youth Alliance campaign tomorrow at home to current division champions West Ham United. The Trawlerboys have had a fresh influx of students progress onto the Access Sport full-time education programme meaning competition for places this season is high. The group have been pushing eachother and working really hard to ensure this season they are fighting at the top end of the league table. A large amount of the current U18 FA Youth Cup group are also part of the Lowestoft Town U19 squad so can take confidence from their current run in the competition.
THE OPPONENTS
The Hammers comfortably won the title last season with their free-flowing goals and invincible home record. West Ham U19's have already played twice this season, beating Chelmsford on the opening day before losing away to Southend United 6-3. Danger man Taylor Ansell-Quinton remains a part of the front line for West Ham, having picked up the golden boot for his impressive tally last season. He will be joined by Bobby Kelman who has transferred from Billericay Town to join the Hammers for this campaign. Together alongside Emmanuel Shana, West Ham will provide a real attacking threat tomorrow which the Young Blues will have to stand up to. Last time out against West Ham, the Trawlerboys drew 1-1 in an impressive display at home. Lowestoft Town had numerous chances to win the game and gave the champions a great game.
