Lowestoft Town U18's in Cup Action
MATCH PREVIEW
Lowestoft Town U18's are back in action once again as they take on Kirkley & Pakefield in the second round of the Suffolk U18 Cup. The squad is made up of Access Sport (LTFC U19) students, LTFC Reserve players and will feature some LTFC U16's. The Lowestoft Town U19 team have had their fixture with Kings Lynn Town postponed as the majority of the players will be involved in the U18 cup game. The last time the U18's played together was back at the start of October, losing 2-0 away at AFC Sudbury in the FA Youth Cup. The group is adamant to give the County Cup their best with high aims for the competition. The majority of the group travelled to Barking FC U19's last week, running out 4-1 winners to take them joint second in the National Youth Alliance League.
THE OPPONENTS
Kirkley & Pakefield U18's are a well respected youth establishment in the area with a good history of progressing players through their youth system and into senior sides. The team play in the Thurlow Nunn U18 East division and currently sit seventh in the league table. They have played seven times this season, winning three, losing three and drawing once. The standout result so far for this campaign would be 4-3 victory at Diss Town U18's in the league, showing they can be a threat going forward.
