Officials at Lowestoft Town have expressed delight after sealing the signing of a new goalkeeper.
Last month, The Trawlerboys were awaiting FA clearance as they sought to add a new keeper following a spate of recent injuries.
After the awful season-ending injury first team custodian Luke Holt suffered and with a talented pool of young keepers in Korey Beevor (who is also currently injured), Jack Trowbridge and Ronnie Yeo, Lowestoft had agreed the dual-registration signing of Danny Cullum from Needham Market last month.
But given his availabilities with the Marketmen, club officials have been searching for a longer term solution.
After long talks, and awaiting FA clearance, former Norwich City goalkeeper Sam Blair has now joined the club.
A club spokesman said: "We’re thrilled to announce the signing of goalkeeper Sam Blair on a short-term loan until January."
The former Norwich City academy goalkeeper Blair, 21, moved to Icelandic Premier League side KR Reykjavik in February before moving to Sweden, with Ytterhogdals, recently.
But now the Ireland U21 international, who hails from Aylsham - and has previously played on loan at both King's Lynn and Bury Town - has joined The Trawlerboys!
Welcome to the Trawlerboys family, Sam!
