Midfielder, Ashton Blogg got to sample life in a professional environment last week after being invited in to train with Wycombe Wanderers of League One.
Ashton's week was cut short due to an ankle injury sustained and he has return to Lowestoft for treatment before hopefully being able to pick up where he left off having already managed to impress the staff at the professional club.
Manager, Andy Reynolds;
"It's a great opportunity for Bloggy and one we are confident he can take if he puts his mind to it. Ashton has shown some really good levels of performance with the 1st Team and at his age with his stature I am sure he has more levels to come with us or higher.
It's excellent recognition also for the work Cion & Gav do with the lads on a day to day basis within our scholarship programme. We have seen a really good number of opportunities come up for boys over the last few years; Josh Wells, Josh Harvey, Owen Lane to name a few have all been given contracts or trials at pro level and it shows what can still be aimed for.
We should be proud as a club that this is becoming more and more regular for players in our pathway".
Everyone at the club is delighted for Ashton and wish him all the best with his recovery and any further opportunities.
