After the very sad news yesterday of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, all football matches have been postponed this weekend as a mark of respect.
This means The Trawlerboys scheduled trip to Essex to begin their FA Trophy journey tomorrow at Basildon United will now not take place.
Instead, the FA has said that "all FA Trophy games will now be played on Tuesday, September 13," although this has to be agreed by both teams.
A final decision from both clubs will be updated on this website once known.
After a break from league action, Lowestoft will return to face two Pitching In Isthmian League One North games in four days - at home to Coggeshall on September 17 and away to Wroxham on September 20.
A Lowestoft Town FC spokesman said: "All at Lowestoft Town Football Club share the nation’s grief following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
"Our thoughts are with the Royal Family."
With The Pitching In Isthmian Football League sending the sincere condolences of the League and all member clubs on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, they've expressed "thanks for a life of service to this country."
A league spokesman added: "Further to this morning’s statement by The Football Association, all National League System, FA Trophy, and grassroots fixtures scheduled for this weekend will not take place as a mark of respect.
"Currently, league fixtures will resume from Monday, September 12 onwards."
Lowestoft's centre of excellence sides - running from U9 to U16 - were set to start their new seasons tomorrow (Saturday) with matches in the Suffolk Youth Football League, Norfolk Combined Youth Football League and Junior Premier League (JPL).
However, these have also all been postponed "as a mark of respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II."
