It has been an incredibly hard season for the ladies, there has been three managerial changes which have resulted in a lot of players coming and going. The players, who are pictured at the top of this article have remained loyal to Lowestoft and deserve huge amounts of credit (this does include the players unable to make the event)!
Throughout the duration of the season the ladies gave their all in every match, which resulted in some great performances. Unfortunately performing well, did not always result in the team picking up points, which resulted in the team being relegated from the FA Women’s Premier League South East Division 1.
In a difficult season the ladies did manage to gain results in the Suffolk County Cup, which saw the team reach the final at Colchester United’s, Weston Homes Community Stadium. In the final the ladies came up against an inform Ipswich Town, who were the better team on the night. The final score finished 5-0 Ipswich Town.
Despite the setbacks, the moral remains high, which was highlighted by the great atmosphere on Sunday’s event.
The management team of Josh Miller & Daniel Burlingham are positive that the team will bounce back, aiming for promotion and another appearance in the Suffolk County Cup Final next season. The duo are confident that the nucleus of the squad will stick together and more quality will be added to the team.
