Lowestoft Town have returned to the top of the Pitching In Isthmian League North Division table following two superb wins in the space of four days - with 10 goals scored and just two goals conceded.
The Trawlerboys triumphed in a "massive game" at the Foster's Solicitors Community Stadium last Saturday as second placed Lowestoft beat third placed Heybridge Swifts 6-0.
Two goals inside the first five minutes from Jake Reed and Kyle Haylock set the tone, before skipper Travis Cole had to come off with a hip injury.
Adam Hipperson made it 3-0 before Luke Holt’s long kick upfield glanced off the head of Swifts defender Quba Gordon past his advancing keeper into the net.
Tom Fitzgerald made it 5-0 before that man Reed completed the scoring in the last minute.
Blues boss Jamie Godbold said: "It was a brilliant performance, a brilliant result and I think its probably a result that has put down a bit of a marker to other teams who will be looking at when their fixture with us will be.
"When you lose your skipper so early in the game, to go yet another game without conceding against a very tough team makes the victory even greater.
"Sam has gone into centre half and put in a really good performance in not a preferred position, while Dylan really stood up at the back as a leader.
"There is no doubt we have got players at the top end that can cause teams problems, and without a shadow of doubt Jake Reed is the best striker in the league.
"But defensively and at the back we have been strong and Luke Holt has picked up the Golden Gloves Award for last month, for the least amount of goals conceded - which is a huge credit to him, our backline and the hard work of the whole team.
"We have been really tough to beat in recent weeks, and that is throughout the team - so the credit goes to them all."
With Cole injured, attacking midfielder Sam Johnson kept his place at centre back again on Tuesday night at Redbridge.
And after a long journey, the Trawlerboys got off to "another lightning start", according to Godbold, with the league's leading goalscorer Jake Reed on target in the fourth minute.
However, centre back Dylan Ruffles had to come off with an ankle injury in the 17th minute meaning further defensive changes and a "makeshift" backline that dealt admirably with the physicality of the home side.
Godbold added: "We got off to a lightning start with Reedy's goal from a brilliant ball Harvey Sayer, who ended up with three assists and a goal on the night.
"Kyle Haylock was twice on target as the goals were shared out, which bodes well.
"To lose Dylan - who has been outstanding this season - was a huge blow.
"But I felt despite it being a makeshift back four we defended their aerial and physical threat really well.
"We were up against probably the most physical team we've faced this season, with Dan coming in at right back and Charlie moving to centre back with Sam.
"Against really strong, tough opponents the whole team defended unbelievably well and added the goals like we did.
"We defended the aerial threat really well overall, with Redbridge only adding a late headed goal."
Skipper Cole is likely to miss "three or four weeks" with his injury, while a late decision will be made on Ruffles, while Reed also came off in midweek.
Godbold said: "We're hopeful its nothing too serious with Jake, while Dylan has a lot of bruising on his ankle.
"Sam is fine now after his injury, and so that just leaves Murph who is likely to be another few weeks."
With the defensive issues, the club is hopeful of announcing a new defensive signing to bolster the squad.
Godbold said: "We will hopefully be signing Dave's brother, Graham Hinton, who has currently unattached having a lot of good experience at step five.
"He is a defender who will come into the squad.
"We have made a few inquiries to see if anyone is available for loan and we are waiting for clubs to come back on that."
Attentions now turn to another two league games in four days - as Lowestoft head to Norfolk rivals Wroxham this Saturday ahead of a home encounter with sixth placed Walthamstow on Tuesday.
"We have two really tough games in the week ahead," Godbold said.
"We always have close games with Wroxham and it will be another tough one.
"I went to watch them against Concord in the FA Cup and they were very good.
"It is a game we are looking forward to, and I think we are the stage of the season now where teams in and around the play offs can push themselves up with one win.
"We then host Walthamstow on Tuesday for another tough game like they all are at the moment.
"But recently, when we have played teams around us - like Bowers & Pitsea and Heybridge - the results have been really positive.
"We have been getting off to really fast starts in the past few games and the aim is to keep that going in the games ahead."
